BANK of Queensland Rouse Hill staff joined other branches around the country in wearing their pyjamas at work recently to raise funds for their annual staff children's hospitals appeal.

BOQ is aiming to raise $300,000 across the country this year, which would be $25,000 more than last year's effort. In 2011 the appeal topped $1 million, after starting in 2004.

BOQ Rouse Hill owner Tony Monteiro said: "this appeal is about helping to get sick Aussie kids back to their own beds, because bedtime is a special time for children and parents; and even bad days can be cured by a bedtime story and goodnight kisses".

The money raised goes to Children's Hospital Foundations Australia, a partnership of major children's hospitals in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth and Adelaide.

The Rouse Hill branch is located on Panmure St, Rouse Hill.
